Brushing and Flossing
Adults who brush at least twice a day and who floss on a routine daily basis are healthier and actually live longer then those who do not! This is true because the resulting optimal dental health due to good dental hygiene habits leads to a significant decrease in cardiovascular disease. We must therefore instill these oral hygiene skills in our children very early on and constantly reinforce these. This will ensure lifelong habits and the resulting improvement in general health. We can't expect our children to just start brushing and flossing on their own. They need guidance and role models.
